Basically, what Joel said! I really enjoy all of these pieces, but this one in particular hit on something I've felt for a while now.
The leaguewide distaste for putting together a team that's good enough to be very good but not stripmining its roster and its future for a better shot a ring is tiresome and off putting. I say this as (and, frankly, maybe because I am) a Laker fan.
If the parties involved are all happy, enjoying a decade of "very good", with Jokic's brilliance and the joy of full-strength Murray is not a bad thing.
Thank you, Janette, for reading and for taking the time for this generous note! I'm so happy to know another horse person who knows and loves that rewarding minutia has read this, and continues to keep showing up for the worthwhile ordinariness of life.
All of these Exits posts are great. I think I loved this one the most, but don't hold me to that.
I love that, but I won't!
This is my favorite piece of writing about the Nuggets I’ve ever read. Thank you.
Thank you, Alex, what a compliment!
