This whole paragraph GOT ME. Especially this part:
“Are they smiling, stoic, snarling, meditative? Are they in a conversation with pain, are they euphoric? It's like peering into a house with the lights on at night from the sidewalk, a voyeuristic glimpse into the isolation of someone else's body; in a physical feat, the flashing sense of a life.”
Yeah! I love big, weird books (just read Moby Dick, huge recommend) but part of attacking them when you’re not young (I am also not old, but I’m not young) is knowing when to give up and when it’s still something that will help you grow through challenge, which was sort of an implicit theme of your last newsletter, I thought.
Feats: don't fail me now.
Very good.
I've heard about this place they call the Spanish Moon
Beautifully written!

It’s a wonderful piece!
Thanks so much for reading, Raleigh!
Wonderful writing
Somehow thinking what is a writer like you doing here?
Thank you! And we've all gotta write somewhere.
Let yourself give up on Independent People for the moment; I did, I plan to read it again, just not now. There’s always another hill to run.
As silly as it is, I needed the permission — thank you!
