I’ve loved reading Katie Baker since Twitter’s glory days, which is when I found her and went back to her Grantland archives and had the acute feeling of missing out on something. She’s funny, with an eye for weird and memorable details, and has a knack for shifting the scope of a story in a few sentences, suddenly zooming way out or zeroing in. She’s covered hockey, football, baseball, basketball, entertainment, and the Sam Bankman-Fried FTX trial; her profiles are like getting tucked into somebody’s pocket.
